  1. Strangely enough it is mostly TOO MUCH TALKING that turns out to be one of the main obstacles preventing authentic presence and deep connection<\/li>
  2. One of the guidelines of communication in the method is „Participation can be verbal and non-verbal”<\/em>.\u00a0<\/i><\/li>
  3. The value of my experience depends more on how I am present and the quality of my attention than on the volume I have spoken.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

    2. This is some kind of group therapy\/Alcoholics Anonymous\/12 steps program <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

    1. Circle time is not (group) therapy.<\/li>
    2. One of the guidlines of the method is „Speak when you are moved to speak”. This is one of the unique elements of Peck’s method which is not utilized in other mehtodologies that workj with group therapy. This special guideline can only be truly known by experiencing it.<\/li>
    3. In circle time the main goal of the group is to experience what Peck has coined as ‘true community’. This unique group experience is another trademark of the method that is extremely rare to happen in other group dynamic methods or in everyday life.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

      3. This must be another 'cult' only fit for religious people <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

      1. The method does not require or expect any active religious life or spiritual beliefs.<\/li>
      2. Those coming from a spiritual background, however, often give accounts of profound religious experience during the workshop.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

        1. Peck named the method \u2018Community Building\u2019 but had no intention to establish and maintain an ‘ongoing community’.\u00a0<\/li>
        2. However, CBI Hungary DOES have online and offline ‘ongoing circles’ with some frequency, as participants often want to stay with the process even after the event.<\/li>
        3. The main aim of Peck was to have the participants experience \u2018true community\u2018; a sense of mutual acceptance, authentic presence and emotional closeness.<\/li>
        4. The chance of the exact same group of people coming together once more is more of a mathematical possibility, making the experience unique and in many ways unrepeatable.
          (A ‘closed’ workshop is often held for members of a specific community (a village, a club, mosque, church, etc.). Experience shows that even two trainings held for the very same community. might be totally different..<\/li>
        5. The guidelines of communication utilized during circle time are also essential to maintain collaboration, to build and enrich mutual trust.<\/li><\/ol>


          There is also a specific type of workshop organized for members of an ongoing community.<\/em><\/p>

          2. What you CAN count on as a participant:
            You will learn of the personal obstacles that often prevent you experiencingemotional closeness, safety and belonging. Often these internal obstacles are the cause of frequently recurring difficult situations and conflicts. During circle time there are many opportunities to practice overcoming these personal obstacles.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

            6. We will practice conflict resolution <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

            1. Resolving or overcoming conflicts is more of a side effect of the process than a specific result to be expected.<\/li>
